Acrylic gel - a multi-tasking product that shortens work time and increases comfort.

The combination of the best properties of two nail styling products - gel and acrylic - made acrylic gels storm the hearts of stylists around the world!

Acrylic gel is a product for styling short and long nails, for working on classic templates, on upper forms, for quickly filling in regrowth, for working on tips and for filling in gaps, e.g. in pedicures.

Its thick consistency (resembling an acrylic mass) means that you can shape the nail for as long as you want without fear of spilling the cuticles or the product shifting on the nail. The product drapes exactly as the stylist guides it and will stay in place for as long as the stylist wants it to. To make the acrylic gel spread softly on the nail plate and not stick to the brush, you can moisturize it with wipe off cleaner, then its surface immediately becomes even and smooth, and work is quick and pleasant.

Unlike acrylic mass, acrylic gel does not harden on its own, it hardens exactly like gel - after placing the product in the lamp. The reduced polymerization temperature makes acrylic gel especially recommended for clients with very sensitive or damaged nail plates.

The properties of acrylic gel make it an excellent choice for both beginners and experienced stylists, because the correct use of this product can significantly shorten the styling time and minimize the need for filing to an absolute minimum.

FAQ

What is acrylic gel?

Acrylic gel is a nail extension method that combines the advantages of acrylic and gel. It gives you unlimited time to perfectly shape your nails, without worrying about flooding the cuticles - which significantly shortens the working time and minimizes the need to file the shape. This allows you to apply the product on several nails at the same time, and thanks to the reduced polymerization temperature, it does not cause burning in the lamp. Unlike acrylic, it does not generate an unpleasant odor, so it can be successfully used in any salon. It makes work easier and faster, so it is perfect not only for an experienced stylist, but also for those who are just starting their adventure with nail styling.

Which acrylic gel should you choose?

All acrylic gels are soft, do not flood the cuticles and allow you to shape the nail for any length of time. They have a thick consistency and with each of them you can work on natural nails, supplement the regrowth, extend the free edge using classic templates and top forms. When choosing a product, pay attention to the color you want on your nails or the effect you want to achieve. All acrylic gels are available in flexible tubes with a capacity of 30 g.

They come in 7 colors:

  • Clear is a transparent, most universal acrylic gel,
  • Pana Cotta is a white acrylic gel, perfect for construction French
  • Pinkny with a universal, cool shade of pink
  • Porcelain with a light pink color that suits every complexion
  • Light Rose in a beautiful nude shade
  • Bella Cinderella in light pink color with a delicate pink speck
  • Illuminator with particles in shades of gold, blue and pink enclosed in a milky base

How to apply acrylic gel?

Extension on the template:

  • Wash and disinfect your hands, then put on gloves.
  • Disinfect the client's hands and assess the condition of both the client's hands and nails
  • Clean the plate, push back the cuticles with a shovel or a wooden stick.
  • Shorten your nails as much as possible and round them with a 180 grit file.
  • Sand the plate with a 100/180 grit buffer or file.
  • Clean the dust from the tile with a soft brush
  • Degrease the nail with a cotton pad soaked in Cleaner No. 1.
  • Apply an appropriate primer (Acid Free Primer or Acid Primer).
  • Apply a thin layer of the selected base to the natural nail plate and cure for 30 seconds in the MultiLed lamp.
  • Align and place the template
  • Spread a small amount of Take Your Time or Primo Ultimo gel on the plate and on the template and create a skeleton in the selected shape of the free edge. Cure in the Multiled lamp for 30-60 seconds. The skeleton is not obligatory, you can also apply acrylic gel on the template
  • Remove the stencil carefully
  • Apply a portion of the selected acrylic gel to the nail plate and spread it with a brush also to the free edge. Remember about the correct structure and, while working, take into account creating the appropriate upper arch, apex and hairline. Moisten the brush with Wipe Off cleaner from time to time to prevent it from sticking to the mass. Cure in the Multiled lamp, depending on the thickness and selected color: from 30-90 seconds
  • If necessary, repeat the operation taking into account the correct structure of the extended nail and cure in the lamp.
  • Remove the inhibition (sticky) layer with a cotton pad soaked in Wipe Off Cleaner
  • Use a file with a grit of 180/240 or 100/180 to shape the appropriate shape and curvature of the nail
  • You can only cover your nails with a top - you can choose a hybrid or gel top, but you can also apply the selected color of hybrid nail polish on a matt surface.
  • After applying and hardening 2 layers of color, cover the whole thing with your favorite top coat and cure in the lamp for 30-60 seconds.
  • If the product requires it, remove the inhibition layer with a cotton pad soaked in Shea Super Shine Cleaner
  • Finally, you can polish your nails with a dry, dust-free cotton pad to make your nails look even more beautiful. You will then hear a characteristic creaking sound.

Hardening of the natural tile:

  • Wash and disinfect your hands, then put on gloves.
  • Disinfect the client's hands and assess the condition of both the client's hands and nails
  • Clean the plate, push back the cuticles with a shovel or a wooden stick.
  • Prepare the shape of the free edge with a 180 grit file.
  • Apply a thin layer of Protein Base to the natural nail plate and cure for 30 seconds in the MultiLed lamp.
  • Apply a portion of the selected acrylic gel to the nail plate and spread it with a brush. Remember about the correct structure and, while working, take into account creating the appropriate upper arch, apex and hairline. Moisten the brush with Wipe Off cleaner from time to time to prevent it from sticking to the mass. Make sure the brush is not too moisturized. Cure in the Multiled lamp, depending on the thickness and selected color: from 30-90 seconds

How to remove acrylic gel?

Acrylic gels are insoluble products in Remover. To remove the product from the nail plate, you need to use mechanical action - with a file or your favorite cutter. When filing or removing acrylic gel, it is more delicate/softer than gel, so when removing the product, we constantly remove dust from the nail and check the amount of product remaining on the nail plate so as not to saw it through. If we remove the product from the nail plate completely, at the end of the treatment we can even out the nails with a delicate polisher, e.g. 220/280, and offer the client a nourishing manicure with shea butter, keratin shea elixir or protein serum.

What do I need to do my nails with acrylic gel?

After preparing the cuticles, you will need: a file, a polisher, a classic Cleaner, a Primer individually matched to the nail plate, a base, e.g. Protein Base, the selected color of acrylic gel, a wooden stick and a brush, Cleaner Wipe Off, a container for the Cleaner, a dust removal brush and your favorite top coat. Additionally for extensions, Take Your Time or Primo Ultimo to build the frame, selected templates and scissors or top molds.

What is the difference between acrylic gel and acrylic gel?

Acrylic gel combines the properties of acrylic and gel. Acrylic polymerizes automatically after combining the powder and monomer, the speed of the process depends on the selected liquid - you do not need a lamp to perform such styling, but you do need a steady hand because the polymerization (hardening) of acrylic cannot be stopped. It is slow and basically imperceptible to the client, and is only manifested by a local increase in the temperature of the mass.

Gels harden in a lamp, e.g. Multiled, and the polymerization of the gel under the influence of its light takes place much faster than in the case of acrylic, so in the case of more damaged or sensitive clients, the effect may be felt as a burning sensation.

Acrylic gels combine the best features of both nail styling systems - thanks to this, they allow you to shape the nail for any length of time, and the product itself behaves on the plate like a partially polymerized ball of acrylic mass - which means that it has the perfect consistency for work. It is neither too hard nor too liquid, so every stylist can use it to style with any technique (on a form, on a natural nail plate or on top forms). At the same time, acrylic gels harden like gel in a lamp, but thanks to the minimized polymerization temperature, the burning sensation, even in the case of more sensitive or damaged nails, practically does not occur.
