Mosaic Effect - shimmering nail design

1. We apply 1 layer of Pasteliusz on all nails except the thumb and cure.
2. We apply the 2nd layer, add the colour in the cuticles area and cure each finger for 30 seconds.
3. We apply Tip Top on the little and index finger and cure for 30 seconds. After taking the hand out of the lamp, we must be careful not to touch the cured surface for about 60 seconds. Otherwise, the top may tarnish.
4. We paint the thumb separately, to be sure we keep it straight in the lamp. After curing the second layer of colour, we apply Tip Top top coat and cure again.
5. We remember that 2 nails, which we are going to decorate with mosaic in a minute, still have a dispersion layer (sticky layer), so we must be careful nothing sticks to it. However, if this happens, we wipe the surface off with the Wipe Off.
6. We prepare 3 shades of shells and place them on the slide, and with a tool like a teaspoon, we crush the shells to get tiny pieces.
7. On the ring finger, we apply a very thin layer of Tip Top and a drop on the slide.
8. We soak brush 006 in Tip Top, grab the shells and transfer it to the nail. For this design, we choose the flattest pieces as possible - the convex ones will be used for the next stained-glass nail look. We move larger pieces one at a time, and smaller pieces a few at a time. We started from the free edge and laid the mosaic very tight. The higher we go, the more shells we scatter on the surface.
9. We skip to the orange shell, which is to be in the middle of the mosaic pattern, creating a delicate ombre with other colours. We add a little bit of pink on the bottom border to create the transition.
10. We do the same between the orange and yellow shell. The closer we get to the cuticles, the more we spread the pieces and organise them in a more dispersed way.
11. We choose the smallest yellow pieces. We do not drive under the cuticles - there's no need. When we applied the whole pattern, we placed our hand to the lamp to cure Tip Top, on which we applied the mosaic pattern.
12. We repeat it on to the middle finger and cure.
13. It's time to apply a finishing layer with 3D Gloss with the thickest consistency. First, apply just a little of the product, thinly at the cuticles, being careful not to flood them. Then we add more product for the entire surface of the design. Let's use the law of gravity - let's turn our hand upside down to level the surface.
14. If one layer was not enough to cover some of the shells, we apply a second layer, the same way and cure.
15. After taking the hand out of the lamp, we assess whether our design is perfectly smooth. Shells sticking out of the surface must be filed. We wipe the nails with a Wipe Off and use a 180-grid file to level the surface. Gently brush the surface with the file so as not to overdo it and file the mosaic.
16. When we get rid of all the unevenness, we smooth the surface with a buffer to get rid of scratches formed during filing.
17. We dust off the surface and ask the customer to wash her hands.
18. We apply a thin layer of Tip Top on the whole design, cure for 30 seconds and our design is ready!

Stained-glass irises - nail look with crushed Shells

1. We move to the stained-glass design. We apply the first layer of Big Mistake shade and cure for 30 seconds.
2. We apply the second layer of the colour and reach for the Master Nail Art. 006 brush and apply a drop to the slide. With the tip of the bristles, we push the colour closer to the cuticles and cure for 30 seconds.
3. After curing, we wipe the nail with cleaner.
4. We take a pencil and draw a sketch. We start from the centre of the flower, from the point where all the petals will come out.
5. We place Arte Brillante on a slide and soak a 007 brush. No rush - the bristles must absorb the product.
6. The whole is to look like a stained-glass window, that's why we draw each petal as a shape with sharp angles. First, we create a stroke of petals. Only later, we move to divide the petals into smaller shapes.
7. We run lines from some petals to emphasize even more of the stained-glass character of the design. For the same reason here and there, we thicken the outline of the petals.
8. We cover the nails with Super Matte, and cure for 30 seconds.
9. We prepare the shells by crushing them with a spoon. The more varied the size of the crushed shell - from large pieces to tiny ones - the more interesting the final result will be.
10. Using the Aquarelle Sting and Tip Top, we cover the entire surface of the design, trying not to go beyond the contour.
11. The tip of the brush, still soaked with Tip Top, we hold the shells. It's important that the shell pieces we choose fit the shapes we created. As if we wanted to fill in a flower with a shell in empty spaces, and not completely cover the outline that has already been drawn. The smaller the shell piece, the less protruding the flower will be. And similarly - the larger, the more 3D effect we get.
12. When all elements of the iris are ready, we cure Tip Top in the lamp.
13. To give a delicate depth, we shade it with the Glass Indigolicious and brush 006. On the interior contour of the design, we massage the colour with the tip of a brush, paying attention not to miss any area.
14. We secure the design with Tip Top, i.e. a topcoat without dispersion, which doesn't have to be wiped after curing. But we do not apply Tip Top to the entire surface at once. We cover each element of the petal separately and cure for 5-10 seconds. This way, the Tip Top won't flood our design. If we can see it floods down, we turn the hand upside down.
15. Shell fragments not covered with Tip Top, sooner or later it will break away from the entire surface, that's why we make sure we secured all surface and... all done.
