The Aquarell Sting brush for ornaments is an ideal tool for creating decorations - not only watercolour ones. Aquarell Sting is suitable for both gel and gel polish.

The Aquarell Sting brush for decorating will allow you to significantly speed up the make of even complex decorations. It's also great for shading.

Application tips

BEFORE FIRST USE

Indigo brushes are handmade, which is why individual brushes may differ slightly from each other. However, each of them undergoes a thorough quality check, so you can be sure that you are receiving a tool that will meet all your expectations.

Each of our brushes is covered with a special coating that protects the bristles during transport. Before the first use, this coating should be removed by gently rubbing the bristles with your fingers until the coating completely crumbles away. Attention! This should be done gently, in the direction of the bristles, without pressing the brush at the base — doing so could cause permanent damage. Next, take a cotton pad soaked with Cleaner 1, close the brush in it, and wipe it (in the direction of the bristles), giving it its final shape. Remember, Cleaner 1 is used ONLY before the first use of the brush! Instructions for daily cleaning of the bristles during work can be found below.

In the handcrafting process, individual stray hairs are natural. Before the first use of the brush, any stray hairs should be carefully separated from the rest and cut as close to the base as possible. Similarly, single hairs damaged during use (e.g., due to being pinched by the ferrule) can be removed in the same way.

CARE TIPS

When collecting the product, try not to soak the brush at the base. Instead of pressing the handle to the surface, which could deform the bristles, let it “absorb” the product. This will protect the tool’s properties and give you better control over the product while working.

To clean the brush after work (or during work when you want to change colors), it’s best to use a transparent, as-thin-as-possible hybrid base or top coat. Place the product on a glass or cotton pad and, using circular motions, dissolve the remaining products visible on the bristles. Then, wipe with a dry cotton pad in the direction of the bristles.

Always store brushes with the ferrule closed. Even thorough cleaning of the bristles does not guarantee the complete removal of product residues, which may harden due to exposure to sunlight or salon lighting.

Except in exceptional cases (e.g., heavy soiling), avoid using cleaners and other alcohol-based products, as they can dry out the bristles and cause fraying. Also, do not use Brush Cleaner, which is intended exclusively for acrylic brushes.

During work, NEVER leave the brush uncovered in UV lamp light. Its rays can reach the brush even from the far end of the desk, causing the product to harden on the bristles.

What if the product hardens on the brush and sticks the bristles together? There’s a solution! Soak the brush in a container of boiling water and wait for the product to dissolve. Attention! The bristles should not touch the bottom of the container, so choose a wide container where you can lay the brush flat or hold it submerged in water until the hot water dissolves the hardened product.

If you want to create designs using both light-curing products and acrylic paints or watercolors, remember not to use the same brush for both. Assign one brush for watercolors and another for color gels, hybrids, etc.
