One of the many advantages of a hybrid manicure is, of course, its durability. Hybrid styling lasts on the nails for up to three weeks! It is a great alternative for women who are not necessarily satisfied with manicure with classic nail polishes. However, a few basic rules need to be followed so that the durability of the nails made will be significantly extended.

Why does hybrid leave your nail? Start with the basics to enjoy your fresh nails.

1. Work on the natural plate with a 100/180 file, choosing the 180 side and working at a 90-degree angle. Moving from left to right. If you have a natural nail plate, you can also gently round the corners of the nail on both sides.

It is much quicker to shorten long nails with a cutter but! This is only possible up to the nail tip - after that, you only need to use a file. Otherwise the client may experience burning and discomfort.

2. 15,000, Carbide No. 1 - start with the nail drill. With the middle part of the nail drill bit, shorten the nails, going from left to right, at a 90-degree angle.

3. Returning to the 100/180 file, shorten the nails to the desired length, gently rounding the corners.

Remember to turn the client's hand over to check for correct symmetry. The natural nail should run parallel to the axis of the finger and to the natural edges of the nail.

Know the possible causes - why is the hybrid coming off the nail? Mistakes when getting a manicure

  • Leaving dirt on the nail plate

If the excess material is not removed, the hybrid can become clogged and detach from the free edge of the nail.

  • Incorrect processing and preparation of the plate

Before applying further products (hybrid varnish), the material present on the plate should be carefully removed. The old material will cause air to get between the styling - therefore it should be removed completely. When working on the tile, try to work in one spot a maximum of twice matting the tile in the same spot.

  • Leaving epithelials on the nail plate

Using a No. 9 cutter at 15,000 rpm, carefully remove the epithelia and lift the epidermal casing. Work from left to right. Hold the nail drill bit flat to the plate surface. Then, using the Cuticle pick no. 1, deepen the pocket under the periungual shaft - from the centre to the right side. Work ⅓ of the length of the cutter and use the belly to smooth the end of the peri-nail shafts. After changing the rotation, we do an analogous operation by changing the direction and side of the nail. Then, with dedicated scissors, we cut the cuticle starting from the left side, maintaining a 90-degree angle. Use the very end of the scissors and remove millimetre by millimetre in a calm motion. The hybrid won't last if you don't dedicate enough work to cleaning the plate.

  • Incorrectly selected cleaner for the stage of styling and nail plate

If, at this stage of styling, you reach for a cleaner with olive or shea butter (Shea Super Shine cleaner for the very end of your work)-the hybrid will not last on the nail. What is more, if you choose a cleaner that has not been tightened or has been left open for a long time, then its properties have changed significantly because it has simply evaporated and the hybrid manicure is less durable.

  • No primer or wrong primer

The primer builds up the durability of the nail design - whether you are dealing with a more demanding plate or good nail condition. It increases the adhesion of the compound and prevents clogging. The basic and most versatile choice is an acid-free primer available under the name Acid Free Primer. Its use guarantees a long-lasting hybrid manicure.

  • Incorrectly selected base for the natural nail plate

If we know our clients, we know very well which base to use. In any other case, an interview is incredibly important. We always choose the base individually for the client and the key to success is a product applied in thin layers.

  • Flooding of cuticles

This applies to the base coat as well as the hybrid polish or any other product you use when styling your nails. It's another reason for the nail design to become inflamed and a possible cause of the nail design not lasting and the hybrid coming off the nail. Green bacteria and allergies have quite a field to play in here. If you notice contamination outside the nail plate when applying the product, remove the polish with a stick or brush soaked in cleanser.

  • Applying products in thin layers

A long-lasting manicure is every woman's dream. Therefore, devote sufficient time to each layer of product applied. If your hybrid polish comes off in flakes after curing, the first warning light is that the product layers are too thick. For the hybrid varnish to stick to the plate, 2 thin layers should be applied. The curing time in the uv / led lamp, on the other hand, depends on the type of device. In a Multiled Indigo 36W lamp, you can cure your polish in as little as 30 seconds.
