Application tips
- Wash and disinfect your and your client's hands. Put on gloves. Assess the condition of the client's hands and nails to ensure there are no contraindications to the treatment.
- Push back cuticles with a hoof or stick and work them out with cutters, e.g. 9, 1.
- Shape the nails using a 180/240 or 100/180 grit file.
- Use a 100/180 grit buffer to matt the nail plate thoroughly.
- Remove dust with a soft brush.
- Thoroughly degrease the tile with a dust-free swab and Cleaner No. 1.
- Apply the appropriate primer (Acid Free Primer or Acid Primer).
- Apply a thin layer of the chosen primer and cure in the lamp (30 seconds in a MultiLed lamp).
- Apply a second thicker layer of base coat to gently even out or build up the nail if needed. You can even out the surface of the base coat with a thin brush such as Master Nail Art 007 or turn your hand over to use gravity to shape the upper nail arch. Cure the styling again. Due to the thicker layer of product, you can extend the curing time to 60 seconds in a MultiLed lamp.
- Apply the first layer of colour without pressing the brush to the surface of the plate and cure for 30 sec under a MultiLed lamp.
- Cover the plate with a second coat of colour. Apply Master Nail Art Brush 004 or 006 to cuticle area and sideburns, cure for 30 seconds under the MultiLed.
- Secure the styling with a topcoat, e.g. Tip Top or Wet Look, and put your hands in the lamp again for 30-60 seconds.
- Wait a minimum of 60 seconds for the top to cool down.
- If you have chosen a top with a sticky layer*, remove it with a cotton swab soaked in Shea Super Shine Effect Cleaner 3.
- To add even more shine to your nails, you can polish with a dry cotton ball at the end.
*The non-sticky top coat does not need to be wiped with Shea Super Shine Effect Cleaner No. 3. After waiting a minimum of 1 minute, you can apply your chosen Shea Elixir with keratin to the nail shafts.
PRO TIP: When applying gel polish, remember not to press the brush from the gel polish bottle against the surface of the tile, so that the colour sits nicely and levels out, leaving no streaks.
