Application tips
- Remember to disinfect your hands (yours and your client's) first. Put on gloves, then assess the condition of your hands and nails and check for any contraindications to the treatment.
- Push back the cuticles (with a shovel or stick) and work them with a cutter (e.g. Cuticle 9).
- Gently and evenly matt the cuticle using a 100/180-grit buffer, and remove any dust with a soft brush.
- Saturate a lint-free cotton pad with Classic Cleaner and thoroughly degrease the tile.
- Apply the appropriate primer, 90% of which is Acid Free Primer. For more demanding tiles, use Acid Primer.
- Whichever primer you choose, apply a minimal amount and only to the natural plate, not touching the cuticles.
- Apply a thin layer of your chosen hybrid base coat and cure for 30 seconds in a Multi Led lamp.
- If your nails are weak or naturally flat, you can apply two coats of builder base to strengthen your nails.
- Cure the thicker base coat for 60 seconds in a Multi Led lamp.
- If the base coat surface is even, you can remove the sticky layer with Shea Super Shine Cleaner after waiting a minute to enjoy the satin finish of the base coat.
- When the surface of the base needs to be worked with a file, remove the sticky layer from the nails with a cotton swab soaked in Wipe Off Cleaner.
- Using a 100/180 file or a buffer of the same gradation, smooth the surface of the base coat.
- Remove dust with a soft brush and clean the surface again with the classic Cleaner or Wipe Off Cleaner.
- Finish with your favourite top coat.
- You can also apply your chosen colour of hybrid varnish to the prepared surface.
- Apply a first, thin layer of your chosen hybrid varnish and cure in a Multi Led lamp for 30 seconds.
- Apply a second coat of colour and cure in the Multi Led lamp for 30 seconds.
- For a perfect finish, reach for a matching top coat (e.g. Tip Top or Wet Look).
- Cure top for 30-60 seconds in the Multi Led lamp.
- Wait about 1 minute after removing the lamp.
- If you have chosen a non-sticky top, choose a protein serum, keratin shea elixir or your favourite cream as a finishing touch.
- If you have used a top with a sticky layer, wipe each nail with a dust-free cotton swab soaked in Shea Super Shine Effect Cleaner.
- Want to make your nail design even more shiny? Additionally polish your nails with a dry cotton swab.
Pro tip:
Cover the surface of the plate with a thin layer of base coat and then on top of the uncured one, add a second slightly thicker one, concentrating the product in the centre of the plate and thus creating the upper arc of the nail. Additionally, you can even out the surface of the base coat with a thin brush such as Master Nail Art 007 or turn your hand to use gravity to shape the upper nail arch. Cure all in a MultiLed lamp, extending the curing time to 60 sec.
